TROY — Sydney Gibson, of Troy, and David Shiverdecker, of Sidney, have announced their engagement and plans to marry Oct. 24, 2015, in Dayton.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Jodie and Randy Gibson, of Troy. She graduated from Miami East High School and Wright State University. She is employed by Konecranes.

Her fiance is the son of Terry and Mark Shiverdecker, of Sidney. He is a Russia High School and Muskingham University graduate. He is employed by F&P America.
