La Comedia opens ‘Wizard of Oz’

SPRINGBORO — La Comedia Dinner Theatre, 765 W. Central Ave., Springboro, has opened its live stage production of “The Wizard of Oz.”

Performances continue through Aug. 28. With professional actors hired through auditions in New York City and in Dayton, La Comedia’s cast is a mix of talented performers from all over the country.

La Comedia’s production takes the audience along with Dorothy, Toto, the Scarecrow, Tinman, and the

Cowardly Lion as they head to Emerald City to see the great wizard. The production features all of the classic songs from the film, including “Over The Rainbow,” “If I Only Had A Brain” and “Ding Dong, the Witch Is Dead,” as well as spectacular flying effects throughout the show.

Before the performance, audiences enjoy La Comedia’s buffet dinner.

Adult tickets range in price from $59 to $75 and tickets for children 11 and under are $30. Discount packages are available.
