SIDNEY — The AARP Tax-Aide program will have volunteers available to help area residents file their 2016 tax returns.

The service is free, but appointments are required.

Tax aides will be at the Senior Center of Sidney and Shelby County, 304 S. West Ave., Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., from Feb. 2 through April 13.

They will be at the Amos Memorial Public Library, 230 E. North St., Saturdays, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., from Feb. 4 through April 15.

Tax filers must take copies of their 2015 tax returns to their appointments.
