Hospice plans balloon release

ST. MARYS — Grand Lake Hospice will host the Healing Memories Garden Planting and Balloon Release, May 24, at 5 p.m., at the High Street Shelter House in St. Marys.

This day of memory is hosted each year to support any individual or family who has lost someone special due to an illness or injury. Flowers planted in the Healing Memories Garden are meant to grow as reminders of the beauty of the lives that were lost. Participants should meet with the Grand Lake Hospice staff, May 24, at the High Street Shelter House. Flowers will be provided for planting in the Healing Memories Garden.

Following the flower planting, there will be a prayer of dedication and a ceremonial environmentally friendly balloon release. Cookies, refreshments and a time fellowship will follow the balloon release.
