Santa’s Market in new location

FORT LORAMIE — The fourth annual Santa’s Market Holiday Crafts and Gifts Festival will be Dec. 6 in the Fort Loramie High School, 575 Greenback Road, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Proceeds will support St. Vincent de Paul and Rustic Hope.

Organizer Courtney Prueter, of Fort Loramie, said this year’s event is in a new location.

“At the end of last year I was approached by many crafters who wished to participate in 2016. So many in fact, that it seemed like a wise decision to find a larger location which would offer room for new vendors and a little more wiggle room for shoppers,” she said.

In addition visiting with more than 65 vendors, shoppers can purchase food made by the Fort Loramie High School FCCLA. Children can purchase gifts in the Santa Shop. Make-and-take crafts and balloon animals will also be available. Photographer Meghan (Luthman) Gorman will have a holiday backdrop and offer a sitting with Santa from noon to 2 p.m. Parents will receive an online link to view the photos and can then purchase online if they wish.

A student art show will also be exhibited.

Admission to the festival is $2 or two canned food items.

“The need for assistance in our area is real. I’m proud to say that last year the festival donated 15 bags of groceries and up to $700 to St. Vincent and Rustic Hope,” Prueter said.
