New treasurer excited about future

PIQUA — After one month on the job, Upper Valley Career Center’s Treasurer Anthony Fraley says he is satisfied it was the right move and is optimistic about the future.

“Everyone has been kind and very patient as I learn the structure. It is good to be here,” he said.

No stranger to the inner workings of career and technical education, Fraley spent the past 12 years with Springfield-Clark Career Technology Center where he most recently served as Treasurer and Business Manager. While working for SCCTC he earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Wright State University and a Master’s in Business Administration from DeVry University.

A New Carlisle native, Fraley and his wife Deonna reside in Miami County. They have one daughter, Parker.

Fraley is a strong proponent of CTE, “Career and Technical Education is an important piece of our society. We provide a direct pathway to careers and direct access to skilled workers.” He is happy that legislatures are also seeing this. He continued, “Career and Technical Education is important to America.”
