VERSAILLES — In celebration of National Healthcare Volunteer Week, Versailles Health Care Center recognized and thanked volunteers for their hard work and dedication.

At a recent luncheon, tokens of appreciation were given in the form of purple and white pansies that were in flower pots painted by the residents and Mason jars filled with mints and notes saying, “Volunteers, thank you for the commit-mint.”

Special recognition of volunteer service years was made to the following volunteers: Adela Hoke, 24 years; Susan Fields, 23 years; Elsie Shappie, 11 years; Connie Stammen, seven years; Karen Doseck, seven years; Diane Yakos, seven years; and Cate Custenborder, three years.
