SIDNEY — The color purple will soon be spreading throughout Shelby County.

Organizers of the Relay for Life of Shelby County will be painting the windows of local businesses the week of July 11 and July 18 in preparation for the annual relay planned for Aug. 5-6 from 6 p.m. Friday to noon on Saturday. Purple will be the prominent color used when painting the windows.

The theme of this year’s relay is “Holidays of Hope.”
