FORT LORAMIE — The Fort Loramie Little Miss Independence Contest will be July 2, at noon, under the entertainment tent at the Liberty Days Festival.
Twelve little girls will vie for the title of Little Miss Independence. Fort Loramie first grade teacher Hayley Barhorst will be mistress of ceremonies. 2015 Miss Independence Brooke Ruhenkamp will sing the national anthem before the contest. 2015 Little Miss Independence Janell Siegel, daughter of Janet and Mike Siegel, will crown the new Little Miss Independence. Little Miss CoChairpersons are Kelly Holthaus and Amy Hausfeld.
The contestants are as follows: Addison Turner, 5, daughter of Andrea and Brad Turner; Britain Frilling, 5, daughter of Alison and Alan Frilling; Marly Frey, 5, daughter of Pam and Ron Frey; Lydia Poeppelman, 5, daughter of Jenny and Chris Poeppelman; Lydia Gehret, 6, daughter of Meghan and Jerry Gehret; Kiersten Boeke, 6, daughter of Kate and Chris Boeke; Ansley Poeppelman, 5, daughter of Erin and Tony Poeppelman; Claire Boerger, 6, daughter of Theresa and Jason Boerger; Joslyn Zircher, 6, daughter of Sara and Nick Zircher; Callie Frey, 5, daughter of Stacy and Matt Frey; Eliana Moore, 5, daughter of Julia and Jeremy Moore; and Sara Knasel, 6, daughter of Stacy and Brian Knasel.
