JACKSON CENTER — The Jackson Center Electric Department is planning two planned power outages on July 11, starting at 9:30 p.m. This outage will be to perform routine maintenance and switch out a small transformer.

The first outage will be to transfer their electric load from their substation to their generator. This should last for approximately 15 minutes. If for some reason the generator fails to carry the load of the village, please be prepared for an extended outage of four to five hours. If the generator does carry the load residents will experience a second outage at approximately 2 a.m., or sooner, when maintenance is complete. This outage should be 15 minutes or less.
