New Bremen Board of Education

NEW BREMEN — The New Bremen Board of Education will meet in special session, Monday, July 11, at 6:30 p.m.

The board will immediately go into executive session. No action is planned to follow the executive session.

Sidney City Council

SIDNEY — The Sidney City Council will meet Monday, July 11, at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers. They will hear a mid-year status presentation about economic development effort. They will also consider the adoption of an ordinance amending the code pertaining to weeds.

In addition, the council will consider the adoption of resolutions about consumption and possession of beer and liquor on public property, authorizing the granting of a license to the archbishop of Cincinnati for use in connection with the Holy Angels Church, authorizing the granting of a license to the Shelby County Libraries for use in connection with the installation of a raised pedestrian walkway, and appointing Randy Rose to the zoning board of appeals.

Two ordinances will be introduced concerning amending part of the ordinance relating to residential solid waste collection, and amendments to the traffic control map. An executive session will also be held to discuss pending or imminent court action and to consider the purchase of property for public purposes.

Anna Board of Education

ANNA — The Anna Board of Education will meet Monday, July 11, at 7 p.m. in middle school room 209. The board will hear financial reports and take action on GAAP contact. The superintendent will discuss test results, nursing services report, and board goals. In new business they will hire staff and consider the participating in the EPC bus purchasing program. They will also hold an executive session for the purpose of employment of public employees.

Botkins Board of Education

BOTKINS — The Botkins Board of Education will meet Wednesday, July 13, at 7 p.m. in the media center. The board will hear reports from the treasurer and various committees. In new business they will approve bus routes and hire substitute teachers, bus drivers, and cafeteria workers. They will accept a resignation and discuss pay parents for private school transportation.

Fairlawn Board of Education

SIDNEY — The Fairlawn Local School District Board of Education will meet Thursday, July 14, at 6:30 p.m. in Room 122.

The board will discuss the gym/field usage policy and classified salary schedules. Also on the agenda are items to accept donations, amend the athletic director contract, classified salary schedules, school fees for 2016-17 and to adopt a board policy.
