Greg Kindell, of Sidney, hauls a tire he found sitting in the middle of the Great Miami River toward his canoe during the Clean Sweep of the Great Miami River Friday, July 15. Fifty volunteers spent the day clearing garbage from the stretch of the Great Miami River that runs through Sidney. Volunteers from other areas cleaned other sections of the river as part of the annual event.
