Upper Valley Career Center Board of Education

PIQUA — The Upper Valley Career Center Board of Education will meet Monday, July 25, at 6 p.m. in the Adams Board Room.

Reports will be given by the board president, a board member and the superintendent. Donations to the school will be accepted. Items to be approved include the high school faculty handbook, classified staff handbook, health insurance rates and the calamity date alternative make-up plan. Employment and resignation of staff members will also be considered.

Sidney City Council

SIDNEY — The Sidney City Council will meet on Monday, July 25, at 6:30 p.m in the Municipal Building’s Council Chambers.

There will be a presentation on the Wagner Building United States Environmental Protection Agency project.

It is expected for council to adopt two ordinances relating to the residential solid waste collection rates and the traffic control map.

Council will hear four resolutions:

• The designation of Poggemeyer Design Group, Inc. as the city’s Local Public Agency (LPA) for matters pertaining to the Home Investment Partnership Program and the Sidney/Shelby County PY (program year) 2015 Community Housing Impact and Preservation Program.

• The ratification of an agreement to purchase executed by and between Anne T. Linke, Trustee, and the City of Sidney.

• The authorization of a warrant in payment due to be paid to a vendor of the city.

• The acceptance of the plat, “Electro Controls Replat”

There also will be a discussion on Paint the Town membership updates and the Civil War weekend park hours.

In addition, council will also hold an executive session to consider the purchase of property for public purposes and pending or imminent court action.

Jackson Center Village Council

JACKSON CENTER — The Jackson Center Village Council will meet Monday, July 26, at 7 p.m. in council chambers at village hall. They will approve the June financial reports, and hear reports from committees and village officials. In new business they will discuss AMP, Inc. and the solar field. They will also hold an executive session for the purpose of discussing the discipline of a public employee.

Anna Village Council

ANNA — The Anna Village Council will meet Tuesday, July 26, at 7 p.m. in council chambers in village hall. They will read for the third time and vote on an ordinance vacating a portion of an unimproved alley within the village.

They will do the same with a resolution authorizing the sale of personal property, including motor vehicles acquired for the use of municipal officers and departments, and road machinery, equipment, tools or supplies, which is not needed for public use, or is obsolete or unfit for the use for which it was acquired, by internet auction for the calendar year 2016 on govdeals.com. They will also read and vote on a resolution concerning Zero Out Prostate Cancer in Ohio.

The council will hear various reports from village officials, and committees. In old business, the farmland discussion has been postponed. In new business they will discuss that St. Marys is requesting to again process the Village of Anna’s Tax.

New Knoxville Board of Education

NEW KNOXVILLE — The New Knoxville Local Schools Board of Education will meet Wednesday, July 27, at 7 p.m. in the media center of the school.

Items on the agenda include resignations, employment of staff members, lunch and milk prices, school fees, and reports from the superintendent and principal.
