Anna Board of Education

ANNA — The Anna Board of Education will meet Monday, Aug. 8, at 6:30 p.m. in middle school room 209. After approval of the minutes and financial report, the board will go over reports from school officials. The treasurer, during their report, will discuss the income tax settlement, bond sale, and post issue compliance policy.

The superintendent will discuss board reports and goal, open staff meeting, OFCC, facility use, report card, and true days cash. In new business the board will vote on a recommendation to approve employee contracts. During an executive session they will discuss the potential purchase of property.

Sidney City Council

SIDNEY — The Sidney City Council will meet on Monday, Aug. 8, at 6:30 p.m in the Municipal Building’s Council Chambers.

There will be an introduction of two ordinances on Paint the Town membership updates and to impose a moratorium for a period of 270 days on the granting of any permit for medical marijuana.

Council will hear five resolutions, and they include: the temporary amendment of the Civil War weekend hours, Federal Transit Administration (FTA) grant application for operating and capital, authorization for the city manager to enter into the contract of the FTA grant application for the elderly and disabled, the support of the development of the U.S. bike route 25, and for the ratification of resolution accepting the replat of Mill Creek Estates.

Council will go into an executive session to consider the purchase of property and the compensation of a public employee.

Jackson Center Village Council

JACKSON CENTER — The Jackson Center Village Council will meet Monday, Aug. 8, at 7 p.m. in council chambers. The board will discuss a utility services agreement with Plastipak Packaging, as well as a new services building facility.

They will also read three ordinances and vote to pass them on an emergency: An ordinance establishing job classifications and rates for all employees of The Village of Jackson Center, Shelby County, and State of Ohio; An ordinance authorizing certain adjustments in the 2016 annual appropriations of public funds for the village during the fiscal year ending Dec. 31, 2016; An ordinance authorizing the village administrator to enter into a real estate purchase agreement with Airstream, Inc. And to enter into an assignment and assumption of purchase agreement with the Jackson Center Community Improvement Corporation concerning said real estate purchase agreement.

They will also vote to pass a resolution on an emergency authorizing the village administrator the taking of bids and awarding of a contract for resurfacing various streets within the village limits for the 2016 resurfacing program. They will also go into executive session for the purpose of discussing the purchase or sale of real estate.
