SIDNEY — The Ohio Department of Transportation District 7 is continuing work on projects throughout Shelby, Auglaize, Miami and Darke counties.

The following closures are currently in effect for the week of Aug. 31 to Sept. 6:

Auglaize County

• U.S. 33 between the Mercer County line and St. Marys corporation limit, Daily lane closures between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. One lane will remain open in each direction through the use of flaggers.

• Ohio 364 between Ohio 219 and the St. Marys corporation limit, Daily lane closures between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. One lane will remain open in each direction through the use of flaggers.

• Ohio 274 between the New Bremen corporation limit and the Shelby County line, Daily lane closures between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. One lane will remain open in each direction through the use of flaggers.

• Ohio 198 between East Auglaize Street and River Street, 24-hour road closure through Nov. 30. The official detour is Ohio 67 to South Water Street to Redskin Trail Road.

• Ohio 29 between East Greenville Road and Plattner Road, 24-hour road closure through Oct. 15. The official detour is Ohio 29 to Ohio 274 to Ohio 66.

• Ohio 219 between East Shelby Road and Ohio 29, 24-hour road closure through Sept. 30. The official detour is Ohio 29 to Ohio 274 to Ohio 66

Darke County

• Ohio 49 between Brock-Cosmos Road and Ellis Road, 24-hour road closure through Sept. 4. The official detour is Ohio 705 to Ohio 118 to Ohio 47.

• U.S. 127 between Ohio 121 and U.S. 36, 24 hour lane closures through Sept. 29. One lane will remain open in each direction.

Miami County

• Interstate 75 north and south between County Road 25A (Tipp City) and Ohio 41, Nightly lane closures through Sept. 3 between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. One lane will remain open in each direction.

• U.S. 36 between Casstown Fletcher and Troy Road, Various lane closures through Oct. 15 between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. One lane will remain open in each direction through the use of flaggers.

• Ohio 589 between Ohio 55 and U.S. 36, Various lane closures through Oct. 15 between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. One lane will remain open in each direction through the use of flaggers.
• Eldean Road between Country Road 25A (Troy) and Lytle Road, 24-hour road closure through Nov. 2. The official detour will be posted.

• Ohio 41 between Ohio 201 and Hufford Road, 24-hour road closure through Sept. 5. The official detour is: Westbound- Ohio 201 to Ohio 55 to Ohio 202 to Ohio 41. Eastbound- Ohio 202 to Ohio 55 to Ohio 201 to Ohio 41

• County Road 25A (Piqua) between Looney Road and Indian Ridge Drive, 24-hour road closure through Oct. 15. The official detour is: Looney Road to U.S. 36 to Troy/Sidney Road to County Road 25A

• County Road 33 (Eldean) between County Road 25A (Troy) and Piqua Troy Road, 24-hour road closure through Nov. 4. The official detour is County Road 25A to West Peterson Road to Piqua Troy Road

• I-75 south ramp to County Road 25A near Troy, 24-ramp road closure through Sept. 4. The official detour is: I-75 south to Ohio 41 to I-75 north to County Road 25A.

Shelby County

• I-75/Ohio 29 Interchange, Intermittent ramp closures through Sept. 30 between the hours of 6 a.m. and noon. Exit and entrance ramps at the I-75/Ohio-29 interchange will be closed intermittently during those times. Detours will be posted.

• I-75/Ohio 29 Interchange, 24 hour ramp restrictions through Sept. 30. All ramps at this interchange will be restricted to 10’ lanes.

• Ohio 65 between Botkins Road and Southland Road, 24-hour lane closures through Sept. 4. One lane will remain open with traffic able to travel in each direction through the use of a signal.

• I-75 north and south between County Road 25A (Piqua) and County Road 25A (Sidney), Nightly lane closures through Nov. 15 between the hours of 7 p.m. to 10 a.m. (Monday-Thursday) and 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. (Friday – Sunday). Two lanes will remain open in each direction at all times.

Upcoming closures include:

• Miami- Ohio 721 between Pitsburg-Laura Road and Ohio 571, 24-hour road closure Sept. 8 through Oct. 20. The official detour is Ohio 49 to U.S. 40 to Ohio 48 to Ohio 571

ODOT closures focus on Interstate, US and State routes. For information on local roads you will need to contact the county, city or township where the road is located. Arrow boards and signs will be in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming closure. All work is weather permitting. Safety is a top priority at ODOT. To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
