COLUMBUS — During last week’s House session, State Representative Jim Buchy (R-Greenville) presented a resolution to the Jackson Center High School girls volleyball team for winning the 2016 Division IV State Championship.

The Jackson Center Tigers clinched their second state title in a row by defeating New Philadelphia’s Tuscarawas Central Catholic on Nov. 12. The Lady Tigers finished the season with a perfect record of 30-0. The head coach of the team, Kim Metz, also received a resolution for Coach of the Year.

“It was an honor to be able to recognize these young ladies for their hard work on the volleyball court as well as for their commitment to the classroom,” Rep. Buchy said. “Their future is very bright.”

The team was present, along with Metz, to receive their resolution during Ohio House session.
