Upper Valley Career Center Board of Education

PIQUA — The Upper Valley Career Center Board of Education will meet Monday, Feb. 27, at 6 p.m. in the Adams Board Room.

The board is expected to approve issuing not more than $1,500,000 in bonds for the construction and equipping the school facilities.

Reports will be given by the board president, a board member and superintendent. The board is expected to approve a mobile lab from Jason Dietsch Sales, which will be used for the mobile fab lab program. Various donations are also on the agenda to be accepted. Various out-of-state trips and personnel items are also on the agenda for the board’s approval.

Sidney City Council

SIDNEY — The Sidney City Council will meet Monday, Feb. 27, at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers in the Municipal Building. They will hear a presentation on the Convention and Visitors Bureau update.

Council is expected to adopt an ordinance to amend the traffic control map to establish a “No Parking” zone on the east side of Wilkinson Avenue beginning at the south cube line of Culvert Street proceeding 400-feet to the south.

Council is expected to adopt five resolutions, and they are:

• To accept the “Sidney Mob” plat;

• To authorize the consumption and possession of beer and liquor on public property;

• For authorization to draw a warrant in payment to pay a vendor of the city;

• To appoint Douglas Stewart to the Revolving Loan Committee;

• To give the city manager authorization to enter into an agreement with for the purchase of electricity for Sidney’s electricity aggregation program.

There also will be a discussion on medical marijuana. In addition, council will also hold an executive session to prepare for negotiations or bargaining sessions with public employees and for pending or imminent court action.

They will also hold an executive session for the purpose of considering the purchase of property for public purposes, pending or imminent court action and the discipline of a public employee.

Jackson Center Village Council

JACKSON CENTER — The Jackson Center Village Council will meet Monday, Feb. 27, at 7 p.m. in council chamber.

Items on the agenda include an ordinance dealing with easements to extend Washington Street to Parkview Drive as dedicated to public use; resolutions for the purchase of a pickup truck and entering an agreement for the wastewater treatment plant building project. Council will also discuss the widening of South Street.

An executive session is planned to discuss the purchase or sale of real estate and pending litigation.

The Finance Committee will be meeting at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers to review the January 2017 financial report.

Washington Township Trustees

HOUSTON — Washington Township’s Shelby County residents are invited to attend an updated information regular session regarding the aquifer and your wells at the Houston High School, 5300 Houston Road, Houston, on March 2 at 7:30 p.m. A hydrologist will be there to report his findings and answer questions.

West Central Ohio Network Board

SIDNEY — The West Central Ohio Network Board will meet Friday, March 3, at 9 a.m. at the organization’s office, 315 E. Court St., Sidney.
