The dancing duo raised the most money out of the six dancing celebrity couples that took part ing the Court Appointed Special Advocate/Guardian Ad Litem (CASA/GAL) fundraiser. The CASA/GAL program is a volunteer, court based program that is responsible for recruiting and training community volunteers to be an advocate for Shelby County’s abused, neglected and dependent children in juvenile court. Team Couchot earned the second most for CASA/GAL. In 2016, 28 volunteers advocated for 133 abused, neglected, and dependent children. The event was sold out.
