John Slagle, right, shows his fishing partner Alex Meyer, both of Sidney, the bass he just caught in the Great Miami River near the north end of Sidney Tuesday, March 28. The two men had been fishing for a hour and had caught two other fish. After taking a picture with the fish Slagle let the bass go. The two men said they were fishing because it wasn’t raining and they didn’t have to work.
