Walk, Run, Bike fundraiser set for April 29

XENIA — 4 Paws for Ability Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit agency that places service dogs for children and veterans around the globe, will host a Walk, Run, Bike fundraiser on Saturday, April 29, at Shawnee Park, 591 S. Park Drive, Xenia.

Registration ends on Wednesday, April 26 at midnight. To register, visit https://runsignup.com/Race/OH/Xenia/4PawsforAbility.

Registration for the 1-Mile Dog Walk begins at 8:30 a.m. The walk will begin at 9:15 a.m. The fee for onsite or virtual is $15.

Registration for the 5K will begin at 8 a.m. with the race starting at 9 a.m. The fee is $25 for onsite or virtual.

The 12-Mile Pedal Power Poker Run registration begins at 10:30 a.m., with the bike race starting at 11 a.m. The fee is $40 for onsite or virtual. Prizes for fastest times and best poker hand (collect five playing card along the biking route).

There is no charge for the following people to attend these events: children 11 and under; children with service dogs; and veterans with service dogs.

Commemorative T-shirts are available for $10 each.

Founded in 1998, 4 Paws for Ability, Inc., is a non-profit agency with global outreach serving children and veterans with disabilities by providing service dogs to those in need. The training of a service dog is recipient specific with a focus on Autism Assistance dogs, Mobility Assistance dogs, Seizure Assistance Dogs, among others.
