Sidney City Council
SIDNEY — Sidney City Council will meet Monday, Oct. 12, at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers. Presentations include the introduction of new firefighter Kyle Barlage and information on National Community Planning Month. Two ordinances will be introduced — one to add a chapter and amend a chapter of the codified ordinances regarding municipal income tax and a second to amend the traffic control map which will establish handicap parking spaces.
Several resolutions are on the agenda dealing with micro surfacing roadwork, a smooth seal overlay and milling and filling of a road by the Ohio Department of Transportation. Council is also expected to approve a resolution authorizing the city manager to enter into collective bargaining agreement with the Fraternal Order of Police, Ohio Labor council, Communication Technicians.
An executive session is planned for the preparations of negotiations or bargaining sessions with public employees; to consider the purchase of property for public purposes; and the employment of a public official.
Anna Board of Education
ANNA — The Anna Local School Board of Education will meet on Monday, Oct. 12, at 6:30 p.m. in middle school room 209. They will look at the five-year forecast report as well as discuss the facilities planning committee recommendation. They will make a decision at this meeting whether or not to accept the recommendation.
Jackson Center Village Council
JACKSON CENTER — The Jackson Center Village Council will meet on Monday, Oct. 12 at 7 p.m. They will have the second reading on an ordinance establishing new water and sewer rates for the village. They will also be introducing an appropriation amendment ordinance regarding the income tax revenue fund.
Anna Village Council
ANNA — The Anna Village Council will meet on Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 7 p.m. in council chambers. There will be an emergency resolution up for a vote that will re-allocate appropriations. Committees and officials will give their reports.
New Bremen Board of Education
NEW BREMEN — The New Bremen Local School District Board of Education will meet in regular session, Oct. 14, at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the school.
The board will consider policy changes, including properties disposal and an update of the organizational chart, and will discuss the five-year forecast.
MRESC Board of Education
RUSSIA — The Midwest Regional Educational Service Center’s October regular monthly board meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15, at Russia Local Schools, 100 School St., Russia. The November board meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 19, at Fort Loramie Local Schools, which is at 575 Greenback Road, Fort Loramie. The December board meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 17, at the Whitmore House, which is at 3985 state Route 47 West, Bellefontaine.
Fort Loramie Board of Education
FORT LORAMIE — The Fort Loramie Board of Education meeting set for 7 p.m. Oct. 19 will be held in the high school Media Center instead of the usual room 310.
