SIDNEY — Amy West, of Sidney, has joined the staff of the Shelby County United Way as P.O.W.E.R. associate.

Executive Director Scott Barr recently announced the appointment. He also announced that Jayne Smith, of Sidney, a United Way employee for the past four years, has been named enhanced giving coordinator. In this role Smith will assist with campaign coordination, donor engagement, and planned giving. She first became involved with the United Way as a volunteer for the annual campaign. For the past four years, she has led the retiree division of the campaign, processed accounts receivable and assisted with financial duties. She serves on the United Way marketing committee and has been instrumental with the campaign video. Smith joined the United Way with a strong employment background in hotel management and marketing.

West will work directly with the women’s initiative advisory board and volunteers.
