SIDNEY — The year 2016 was another very strong one for Creative Vacations by UNIGLOBE Travel.
“Travel was strong all throughout the year, summer is usually a slower time for new request coming in, however, I didn’t notice it that much and 2017 is tracking to be another strong year.” said Debi Pulfer, of the local agency.

The top destinations this past year have changed a little, being Caribbean, Mexico, Alaska, Hawaii, Canadian Rockies, U.S. National Parks and Europe (Italy most requested). With 2016 ending, so did the Centennial Celebrations at our National Parks, and request and travel to the parks really were on a rise. The vacation types that always seem to be strong are Honeymoons, Anniversary trips, Group trips, All Inclusive Vacations, Cruises, & Multi Generational travel – Grandparents traveling with families.
Travel insurance sales continue to increase tremendously. Today more than ever, travelers realize the need to protect travel investments from many unforeseen circumstances that may arise. That could be anything from lay off to a death in the family along with many other covered reasons, including weather problems causing cancellations.

The annual Chicago Christmas Shopping Motor coach trip is once again scheduled for the first weekend in December with reservations already being accepted. Each year, this trip is back by popular demand and it’s been going strong for over 20 years.
In 2016, I completed many courses to keep my skills up-to-date including the extensive “Signature Travel Expert” certification program providing comprehensive continued education training for consultants. She also completed the Airline Society of Travel Agent’s Travel Agency Regulatory Compliance Course as travel is an industry that changes quickly.
