SIDNEY — The Sidney-Shelby County Chamber of Commerce has announced a seminar, scheduled for March 9, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. in the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Sidney.

The seminar is open to chamber members. Led by digital marketing specialists Marketing Essentials, this seminar is a must for any-sized organization in the “for” or “nonprofit” arenas.

Many businesses have to wonder if new customers and prospects will find them when searching online. Today, an organization’s digital marketing plan needs to focus on two target audiences: their ideal customers and search engines. Google consistently rolls out updates to its search engine algorithm, which in turn means that “traditional” search engine optimization (SEO) tactics won’t work anymore. Those still using an outdated approach to SEO are wasting time and money. Still worse, they could be putting their current search engine rankings at risk of decline.

This workshop is intended to bring those participating up to speed on the latest Google update, and action steps they can take to elevate their Google rankings. The objectives of the seminar include identifying “old-school” SEO tactics to avoid, reviewing the five new rules that must be followed to improve search engine rankings, and discovering the most important data to monitor in Google Analytics.

This seminar is offered free of charge as a benefit of membership in the Sidney-Shelby County Chamber of Commerce. Reservations are required and space is limited. To attend, call 492-9122 or email [email protected].
