TUESDAY

-3:44 a.m.: theft. Robert Ball, 22, 516 N. Ohio Ave., reported the theft of the temporary tag off his motorcycle while it was parked at McDonald’s on Michigan Street.

MONDAY

-11:32 a.m.: found property. A pink bike was found in the area of the 900 block of Spruce Avenue. It was placed in the police department garage for safe keeping.

-10:37 a.m.: theft. John Ruark, 72, 134 Mound St., reported the theft of $650.

-11:26 a.m.: found property. A credit card belonging to Teresa Fries, 52, 74 Brooklyn Ave., was turned in to the police department. It was returned to the owner.

-1:33 a.m.: theft. Wal-Mart reported someone stole unknown items.

-12:59 a.m.: assault. Louis Beaucamp, 23, 1161 Fairmont Drive, reported he was assaulted at his residence. He had an apparent minor injury.

SUNDAY

-11:57 p.m.: warrant service. Police arrested Robert Mowery, 34, 212 N. Ohio Ave., on a warrant.

-2:39 a.m.: warrant service. Police arrested James Parker, 44, 14383 Runor Drive, on an outstanding warrant through Upper Sandusky Municipal Court and transported him to the Shelby County Jail.

SATURDAY

-10:29 p.m.: assault. Travis Jess, 36, 6980 Free Road, Piqua, reported someone assaulted him at Fricker’s on Michigan Street. Jess had an apparent minor injury.

-4:43 p.m.: warrant service. Police arrested Anthony Parker Jr., 24, of Kettering, on an active warrant out of Miami County.

-9:06 a.m.: lost property. Darrell Case, 44, 2400 Wapakoneta Ave., Apt. 10, reported he lost his wallet in the Sidney area.

-8:20 a.m.: criminal damaging. Jeffery Vantreese, 56, 750 Plumridge Trail, reported someone damaged his mailbox.

-2:25 a.m.: contempt. Police arrested Kyle Hockey, 25, 1215 Washington Ave., Piqua, on an active warrant out of Sidney Municipal Court.

-2:15 a.m.: driving under the influence. Police arrested Kayla Overbey, 22, 1882 Shawnee Drive, for driving while under the influence.

FRIDAY

-9:09 p.m.: theft. Richard Thompson, 44, 320 Franklin Ave., reported the use of his credit card without his permission.

-4:45 p.m.: theft. The Serenity House, a Samaritan Works property at 221 E. North St., reported a theft of a flat screen television and a DVD player.

-4:17 p.m.: theft. Brent Wright, 44, 700 Campbell Road, reported the use of his credit card number without his permission.

THURSDAY

-11:46 a.m.: trafficking in drugs. $4,229 in cash and 300 grams of marijuana were ceased after a traffic stop on Interstate 75 at exit 90.

-7:06 a.m.: theft. Kara Mullen, 33, 333 S. Highland Ave,, Apt. B, reported someone stole miscellaneous change and CD’s out of her car.

Accidents

Cheryl Lloyd, 54, 1051 Knoop-Johnston Road, was cited for improper backing after an accident on Monday at 12:17 p.m.

Lloyd was backing out of a parking spot on North Main Avenue when it struck a vehicle that was stopped in traffic northbound on North Main Avenue.

The driver of the other vehicle was Walter Spence, 56, 106 E. Robinwood St.

• Jacob Edwards, 16, 1281 Maple Leaf Court, was cited for operation without reasonable control after an accident on Sunday at 4:24 p.m.

Edwards was traveling southwest on Fair Road when he went off the roadway to the right striking a tree, then a second tree, then a utility pole, then another fixed object (an underground telephone Internet marker). He then came to rest facing southbound. The vehicle sustained disabling damage.

• James Whetstone, 77, Piqua, was cited for assured clear distance ahead after an accident on Saturday at 7:34 p.m.

Whetstone was traveling westbound on West Court Street when he failed to stop behind a vehicle that was stopped for the red light at Fourth Avenue, striking it in the rear.

The driver of the other vehicle was Delynn Epperly, 46, Wapakoneta,

• Gregg Jenkins, 61, Conover, was cited for operation at stop and yield signs after an accident on Saturday at 7:26 p.m.

Jenkins was traveling eastbound on Graceland Place when he pulled into the path of a vehicle traveling southbound on Ohio Avenue, causing an accident.

The driver of the other vehicle was Lewis Broyles, 77, 430 Third Ave.

• Susan Hicks, 53, 510 S. Wagner Ave., was cited for obedience to traffic signal after an accident on Saturday at 2:53 p.m.

Hicks was traveling westbound on Michigan Street approaching the intersection on Folkerth Avenue when she went through the light striking another vehicle in the intersection that was traveling southbound on Folkerth turning eastbound onto Michigan Street.

The driver of the other vehicle was Jordyn Page, 18, 727 Marilyn Drive. Both Hicks and Page were transported by Sidney EMS to Wilson Hospital with possible injuries. The Sheriff’s Office assisted in the handling of this accident.

• Sylvia Hudson, 79, 1279 Tully Drive, was cited for failure to control after an accident on Friday at 5:25 p.m.

Hudson was traveling westbound on Fairoaks Road in the right lane when she tried to pass a parked car on the right and ended up hitting it as another vehicle was traveling eastbound right next to her at the exact same time.

Witnesses said both cars drove through at the same time causing Hudson to strike the parked car. They said no one forced anyone into the car, but it was a little tight to get cars by the parked car.

The owner of the parked car was Herman Roach Jr., 1825 Fairoaks Drive. The driver of the other vehicle was Kathy Huffman, 58, 1514 Cedarbrook Place.

• Heather Werling, 28, 11175 Ailes Road, Maplewood, was cited for starting and backing after an accident on Friday at 1:57 p.m.

Werling was backing out a parking space in the 100 block of West Poplar Street when it struck a vehicle traveling westbound.

The driver of the other vehicle was Merri Leist, 19, 17403 E. Miami-Shelby Road.

Fire, rescue

MONDAY

-10:50 p.m.: Medics responded to a call.

-10:32 p.m.: Crews responded to the 800 block of St. Mary’s Avenue for a chimney fire.

-12:05 to 9:59 p.m.: Medics responded to seven calls.

-11:17 a.m.: Crews responded to the 600 block of Tabitha Court for an odor investigation.

-10:21 a.m.: Crews responded to the 1600 block of Hampton Court for a fire alarm. It was accidental.

-9:01 a.m.: Crews responded to the 700 block of Wending Ridge for a fire alarm. The cause was burnt food.

-12:17 to 8:27 a.m.: Medics responded to five calls.

SUNDAY

-7:02 to 8:53 p.m.: Medics responded to two calls.

-4:40 p.m.: Crews responded to the 1000 block of East Hoewisher Road for an odor investigation,

-3:10 p.m.: Medics responded to a call.

-11:15 a.m.: Crews responded to the 100 block of Franklin Avenue for an odor investigation.

-10:43 a.m.: Medics responded to a call.
