WEDNESDAY

-8:08 p.m.: obstructing official business. Sean Higgins, 19, 923 Spruce Ave., was arrested for criminal trespass and obsrtucting official buiness.

-3:41 p.m.: assault. Randy Epley Jr., 39, 1009 Hayes St., reported he was shot with a pellet gun.

-12:30 p.m.: found property. A cane was found at Bob Evans on Michigan Street and was turned into the police department.

-11:09 a.m.: criminal damaging. Gordon Patton, 59, 737 Taft St., reported someone damaged the windshield and roof of his vehicle.

TUESDAY

-9:21 p.m.: theft. Marion Gee, 59, 508 S. Miami Ave., reported theft of two flood lights from his residence.

-5:51 p.m.: contempt. Jeffrey Jones, 28, Troy was arrested on a contempt warrant.

-9:56 a.m.: warrant. Nathan Watkins, 23, Celina was arrested on a warrant.

MONDAY

-3:12 p.m.: theft. Georgia Spears, 64, 402 E. Court St., reported someone took a 24-pack of Pepsi from her vehicle overnight.

-11:09 a.m.: theft. Amanda Young, 36, 820 N. Main Ave., reported someone took her Samsung cellphone, driver’s license, debit card and other personal cards while at Walmart on Michigan Street.

Accidents

Brian Young, 23, Russia, was cited with assured clear distance ahead after an accident on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Young was traveling eastbound in the 2100 block of Michigan Street when he struck the rear of the vehicle stopped in front of him at the light at Folkerth Avenue. Young said he was distracted by traffic and did not realize the vehicle in front of him had stopped.

The driver of the other vehicle was Tammy Smith, 30, of Piqua. She was transported by Sidney Medics to Wilson Health with a neck injury.

• No one was cited following an accident on Monday at 1:11 p.m.

Lydia Alter, 19, 1803 Riverside Drive, said she was traveling eastbound in the far left lane on state Route 47 when Tera Clay, 38, 135 Oldham Drive, changed into her lane from the turn lane causing a collision. Clay said she was traveling eastbound in the far lane on state Route 47 when Alter changed from the right lane into the left lane causing the accident.

Police were unable to determine who was at fault.

Fire, rescue

THURSDAY

-3:19 to 9:48 a.m.: medical. Medics responded to two calls.

-12:52 p.m.: fire. Firefighters responded to 617 Michigan St. for a report of an odor of gasoline. The odor was found and the situation was contained.

WEDNESDAY

-12:36 a.m. to 11 p.m : medical. Medics responded to 12 calls.

TUESDAY

-9:44 a.m.: medical. Medics responded to an motorcycle accident with a deer. There were no injuries.

-8:03 p.m.: fire. Firefighters responded to 900 Johnston Drive for unauthorized burning.

-7:47 p.m.: fire. Crews responded to 727 Marilyn Drive for an overheated motor.

-7 p.m.: medical. Medics responded to the 2100 block of Michigan Street for auto accident.

-12:46 p.m.: fire. Crews responded to 900 S. Main Ave. for a semitrailer’s overheated brakes.

-11:29 a.m. to 10:18 p.m.: medical. Medics responded to six calls. One was cancelled en route.

-10:59 a.m.: fire. Firefighters were dispatched to mile-marker 87 on Interstate 75 for an oil leak.
