-5:05 p.m.: theft. Cristina Jackson, 20, 10989 Comanche Drive, reported the theft of her wallet containing her insurance card, social security card and college identification card accidental left at The Spot Restaurant on South Ohio Avenue.

-3:05 p.m.: identity theft. Traci Milanese, 40, 232 Doering St., reported an unknown person had her information.

-2:35 p.m.: assault. Haley Elliott, 19, 1113 Hilltop Ave., Apt. D, was arrested for assault.

-9:03 a.m.: found property. Stacey Carey, 61, 609 S. Main Ave., found three bicycles at her residence.

-1:19 a.m.: assault. The police are investigating an assault at 604 N. Main Ave.

SUNDAY

-3:48 p.m.: theft. Michael Pope, 38, Wapakoneta, reported the theft of a Reddy heater and a Tool Shop multi-tool from 306 N. Miami Ave. A police investigation continues.

-9:10 a.m.: theft. David Spangler, 45, 535 W. Parkwood Ave., reported the theft of his 1994 Ford Mustang from his residence. The vehicle was recovered later that day in Shelby County.

-2:39 a.m.: disorderly conduct. Catessa Cathcart, 18, Anna, was arrested for disorderly conduct and prohibitions at Sunoco Gas Station on Fair Road.

-1:53 a.m.: felonious assault. Police are investigating a report of an assault in the 400 block of Riverside Drive.

SATURDAY

-11:31 violate protection order. Jeffery McMahan, 50, 821 N. Main Ave., was arrested for violation of a protection order.

-9:41 p.m.: criminal damaging. Heather Murphy, 32, 1121 Hilltop Ave., Apt. C, reported someone damaged the window frame to a window at her residence overnight.

-12:48 p.m.: theft. Cazadores on Michigan Street reported two people left the restaurant without paying for their meals.

-11:50 a.m.: theft. Kathleen Bass, 71, 239 N. Walnut Ave., reported a Sportbrella tent was taken from the back of her car overnight.

-9:44 a.m.: criminal damaging. Henry Harold III, 63, 100 Brooklyn Ave., reported someone he knows slashed or punctured the tires on two of his vehicles overnight.

-2:36 a.m.: failure to comply with order of a police officer. Barbara Miracle, 60, 729 Arrowhead Drive, Apt. H, was arrested for failure to comply, possession of drug paraphernalia, and drug abuse.

-12:31 a.m.: interference with custody. Elizabeth Christian, 32, 324 Oak Ave., was arrested for interference with custody.

FRIDAY

-10:23 p.m.: assault. Scott Lyons, 34, 301 ½ S. Main Ave., was arrested for menacing.

-4:47 p.m.: theft. George Snowden, 87, 726 Kathy Ave., reported someone took telephone cable lines from outside of his house.

-12:16 a.m.: criminal damaging. Tyler Martin, 23, 712 Second Ave., reported someone broke the window out of the back door storm door of his home.

THURSDAY

-6:28 p.m.: theft. Jasmine Lotz, 35, 2725 Andrew Court, reported the theft of a Kate Spade clutch purse containing $20 and a debit card.

July 26

-4:24 p.m.: assault. Fayrene Wilson, 61, 1508 Park St., was arrested for assault.

Accidents

Carlose Rogers, 41, 211 Maple St., was cited with assured clear distance ahead after an accident on Monday at 3:31 p.m.

Rogers was traveling eastbound on state Route 47 when he hit the rear of the vehicle in front of him, driven by Lori Wiessinger, 45, 500 N. Vandemark Road, Apt. 85, which had quickly stopped to avoid a crash with a vehicle that ran a red light coming from the northbound exit ramp of Interstate 75.

• Charles Sayre Jr., 32, 310 Oak Ave., was cited with assured clear distance ahead after an accident on Sunday at 5:34 p.m.

Sayre was traveling westbound on state Route 47 near the Interstate 75 overpass, when he failed to stop and struck the rear of the vehicle in front of him, driven by Andrew Penedo, 51, 2745 Andrew Court, which then caused Penedo to hit the rear of the vehicle in front of him, driven by Matthew Mathis, 29, 1502 Lindsey Road.

• No one was cited for an accident on Sunday at 3:56 p.m.

Mamadou Sao, 53, 1256 Turner Drive, was attempting to back out of his driveway when his brakes failed causing him to strike the right side of another vehicle parked in the driveway across the street.

Police said there was evidence indicating brake failure.

The owner of the other vehicle is Deandre Barnes, 1261 Turner Drive.

• No one was cited following an accident on Saturday at 7:17 p.m.

Teresa Mullins, 52, Quincy, was traveling across the Peebles parking lot on Michigan Street toward the southeast corner when she collided with another vehicle, driven by Kimberly Hookex, 49, 125 Mound St., traveling southbound in a lane of travel across the parking lot.

• Billy Williams Jr, 22, 17920 Malony Road, was cited with assured clear distance ahead after an accident on Friday at 5:14 p.m.

Williams was traveling southbound on Wapakoneta Avenue behind Raymond Borhorst, 80, of Anna, who was attempting to turn westbound but Williams did not stop in time and struck the rear of Borhorst.

• Ethan Swaney, 30, of Piqua, was cited with failure to control after an accident on Friday at 4:49 p.m.

Swaney was traveling southbound on North Miami Avenue at Jefferson Street when he said he began to slide in the rain. After coming through the intersection he was fishtailing and lost control at 615 N. Miami Ave., ran off the road to the left, hit and knocked down a tree, then collided with another tree in the median. Witnesses said Swaney finally came to a rest after continuing over the median on the curb of North Miami Avenue.

Swaney then left the scene but was located by police at 901 Broadway Ave. He said he fled the scene because he knew he didn’t have a driver’s licence and he was afraid.

• Tina Applegate, 46, 121 Poplar St., was transported to Wilson Health by Sidney Rescue after an accident on Friday at 11:26 a.m.

Applegate was walking northbound in the crosswalk on South Ohio Avenue at Court Street when the vehicle driven by George Staley, 76, 228 Sophia Ave., made a left hand turn and hit her.

Fire, rescue

TUESDAY

-12:56 p.m.: fire. Crews were dispatched to 221 Forest St. for a carbon monoxide investigation.

-11:26 a.m.: fire. Crews were dispatched to 1630 Ferguson Court to confirm a fire is out on a machine.

-8:16 a.m. to 1:32 p.m.: medical. Medics responded to three calls.

MONDAY

-10:57 p.m.: fire. Crews were dispatched to 1382 Children’s Home Road on the report of a brush fire.

-4:30 p.m.: medical. Medics responded to Michigan Street and I-75 on the report of an automobile accident with injuries.

-3:42 p.m.: fire. Crews were dispatched to 426 Jefferson St. for a carbon monoxide investigation.

-6:57 p.m.: fire. Crews were dispatched to 670 Timberlea Trail on a fire alarm.

-12:53 a.m. to 10:15 p.m.: medical. Medics responded to eight calls.

SUNDAY

-12:56 p.m.: fire. Crews were dispatched to 1311 Spruce Ave. for an open burn investigation.

-2:19 to 9:34 p.m.: medical. Medics responded to three calls.

-9:39 a.m.: fire. Crews were dispatched to 219 S. Miami Ave. on the report of a kitchen fire.
