Sheriff’s log

TUESDAY

-1:53 p.m.: theft. Deputies were dispatched to 300 County Road 25A in Orange Township on the report of package stolen from the porch of the residence.

-12:45 p.m.: suspicious car. Deputies were dispatched to 11112 Wones Road in Salem Township on the report of suspicious dark colored minivan.

-12:04 p.m.: property damage accident. Deputies were dispatched to 5952 State Route 29 in Perry Township on the report of a mailbox that was ran over.

MONDAY

-11:05 p.m.: stolen vehicle. Deputies responded to the 5000 block of state Route 29 in Perry Township on the report of a stolen vehicle by a man with a gun.

-8:57 p.m.: burglary. Deputies responded to 12219 Lee Drive in McLean Township on the report of someone trying to open a back door of the residence.

-7:44 p.m.: K9 narcotics search. Deputies were dispatched to Champaign County for a K9 narcotics search.

-2:53 p.m.: property damage accident. Deputies were dispatched to the 5000 block of state Route 29 in Green Township on the report of an automobile crash.

-1:38 p.m.: theft. Deputies were dispatched to 3300 Leatherwood Creek Road in Green Township on the report of theft and damage to a residence.

SATURDAY

-10:22 p.m.: theft without consent. Connie Mendiola, 17242 Dingman Slagle Road, Sidney, reported the theft of Donald Trump political sign from her property. The theft occured overnight.

Crashes

Jesse CC Gano, 20, 500 N. Vandemark Road, Apt. 52, Sidney, was transported to Wilson Hospital by Sidney Medics following a two-vehicle crash Sunday at 2:54 p.m.

He and Isaac Robert Frederick, 19, 208 Grove St., Sidney, were riding motorcycles and were traveling southwest on Fair Road nearing the intersection of Schenk Road. Gano attempted to make a right hand turn west onto Schenk Road. The front of his motorcycle struck the left front wheel of Frederick’s motorcycle. Gano lost control of the motorcycle and laid it on its side. It then slid across the intersection.

Kayla AS Moore, 19, 13589 Fey Road, Anna, who was a passenger on Gano’s motorcycle, was not injured.

Both motorcycles are owned by Gano. The one he was riding sustained moderate damage. The second motorcycle was not damaged.

• David Alllen Stammen, 16, of Sidney, was eastbound in the 5000 block of Rangeline Road when he failed to negotiate a curve to the left. The vehicle went off the roadway to the right, striking a guardrail and then a utility pole.

A passenger in the vehicle, Parker Levi Cox, 16, of Sidney, was transported to Wilson Hospital by Houston Rescue. A second passenger, Christian Matthew Jenkins, 16, of Sidney, was not injured.

The 2002 Dodge Stratus was disabled in the crash.

• No one was cited following a two-vehicle collision on Wednesday, Oct. 19, at 4:35 p.m.

Garrett Emerson, 23, 230 N. West Ave., Sidney, was traveling northbound on South Pike Street when he failed to maintain a safe distance of travel and rear-ended the vehicle in front of him driven by Leslie Pettit, 36, 107 Sapphire St., Anna, that was slowing down as she was entering a 35 mile per hour zone.

-6:16 p.m.: theft. Jackson Center Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Clay Street on the report of the theft of medication.

TUESDAY

-6:25 a.m.: medical. Fort Loramie Rescue and Houston Rescue responded to state Route 47 and state Route 66 in Cynthian Township.

-1:55 a.m.: medical. Perry Port Salem Rescue and Deputies responded to the 5000 block of state Route of 29 in Perry Township.

MONDAY

-9:08 p.m.: medical. Anna Rescue and Jackson Center Police responded to the 18000 block of state Route 65 in Jackson Township.

-5:02 p.m.: medical. Minster Life Squad and Deputies responded to state Route 119 and Wilkins Fortman Road in McLean Township on the report of a crash with injuries.

-9:21 a.m.: medical. Fort Loramie Rescue and Police and Deputies responded to the 4000 block of Fort Loramie Swanders Road in McLean Township.

SUNDAY

-8:56 p.m.: medical. Anna Rescue and Jackson Center Police responded to the 200 block of Robb Street in Jackson Township.

-6:21 p.m.: medical. Perry Port Salem Rescue and Deputies responded to the 21000 block of DeWeese Road in Perry Township.

-5:28 p.m.: fire. Fort Loramie Fire Department responded to 50 S. Main St. in McLean Township for a carbon monoxide investigation.
