-11:30 a.m.: investigative complaint. Deputies were dispatched to 17753 Montra Road in Jackson Township on the report of two loose horses on the road.

-10:53 a.m.: tree down. Deputies were dispatched to the 2000 block of Patterson Halpin Road in Washington Township on the report of a tree hanging over the road.

-7:15 a.m.: property damage crash. Deputies were dispatched to 2929 Russia Versailles Road in Loramie Township on the report of a vehicle in a field.

-7:03 a.m.: property damage crash. Deputies were dispatched Dingman Slagle Road and Logan Shelby Road in Perry Township on the report of a vehicle in a field.

-5:38 a.m.: tree down. Deputies were dispatched to the 3000 block of Patterson Halpin Road in Washington Township on the report of a tree hanging over the road.

-4:46 a.m.: property damage crash. Deputies were dispatched to Mason Road and Thompson Schiff Road in Franklin Township on the report a vehicle hit a tree.

-2:45 a.m.: property damage crash. Deputies were dispatched to the 9000 block of Wells Road in Van Buren Township on the report of a crash.

-2:28 a.m.: threats or harassment. Deputies were dispatched to the 6000 block of North Street in Cynthian Township on the report of harassment.

-11:39 p.m.:property damage crash. Deputies were dispatched to the 1600 block of state Route 29 in Van Buren Township on the report of a property damage crash.

-9:43 p.m.: tree down. Deputies were dispatched to the 4000 block of Johns Road in Loramie Township on the report of a tree down.

-9:22 p.m.: tree down. Deputies were dispatched to 13111 Fulton Road in Orange Township on the report of a tree down.

-9:09 p.m.: property damage crash. Deputies were dispatched to the 1000 block of River Road in Orange Township on the report a vehicle hit a tree.

-9:06 p.m.: property damage crash. Deputies were dispatched to the 17000 block of state Route 47 in Salem Township on the report a vehicle hit a tree.

-9:04 p.m.: tree down. Deputies were dispatched to Cisco Road and Hardin Wapakoneta Road in Turtle Creek Township on the report of a tree down.

-9:01 p.m.: property damage crash. Deputies were dispatched to the 15000 block of state Route 29 in Van Buren Township on the report of a property damage crash.

-8:59 p.m.: lines down. Deputies were dispatched to 13000 Wenger Road in Franklin Township on the report of low power lines.

-8:50 p.m.: tree down. Deputies were dispatched to the 15000 block of state Route 29 in Van Buren Township on the report of a tree down.

-4:26 p.m.: tree down. Deputies were dispatched to the 17000 block of Sharp Road in Salem Township on the report of a tree down.

-11:52 a.m.: investigative complaint. Fort Loramie Police were dispatched to 506 Greenback Road in McLean Township on the report of a possible fraud.

-8:34 a.m.: property damage crash. Fort Loramie Police were dispatched to the 9000 block of Dawson Road in McLean Township on the report a vehicle slid off the road.

-7:45 a.m.: school bus passing. Botkins Police were dispatched to 415 W. State St. in Dinsmore Township on the report of vehicle passing a school bus.

TUESDAY

-3:44 p.m.: K9 narcotics search. Botkins Police and Jackson Center Police conducted a K9 narcotics search at 104 Oak Street in Dinsmore Township.

Crashes

The icy road conditions Tuesday morning led to numerous crashes in Shelby County.

Ryan L. Langston, 26, 158 Fessler Buxton Road, Russia, was westbound on Fessler Buxton Road Tuesday at 9:38 a.m. when his vehicle began to slide on the ice-covered road. the vehicle slid off the left side of the road and overturned in a muddy field.

His vehicle was disabled in the crash and towed from the scene.

• Brett Michael Williams, 27, Covington, was eastbound on Versailles Road Tuesday at 6:38 a.m. when he began slowing down because of the icy road conditions. The trailer on his semi-tractor trailer jackknifed and went into the westbound lane of Versailles Road where it struck a snow plow driven by Matthew J. Shappie, 34, 136 E. Main St., Russia. Shappie was unable to stop and struck the left side of the trailer.

The semi-tractor trailer is owned by Wooten & Sons, 9959 Studer Road, Versailles. The trailer was damaged in the crash.

The snow plow Shappie was driving is owned by the Shelby County Commissioners. It sustained moderate damage.

• Jamie L. Marchal, 35, 514 Washington St., Versailles, was traveling east on Versailles Road Tuesday at 6:29 a.m. when he lost control of his vehicle on the ice-covered road. The vehicle went off the left side of the road and struck a ditch.

The vehicle was disabled and towed from the scene.

• Sean M. McSwain, 25, 752 Country Side Lane, Apt. 12, Sidney, was transported to Wilson Health by Anna Rescue following a one-vehicle crash Tuesday at 6:24 a.m.

McSwain was northbound on County Road 25A when he lost control on the ice-covered road. The vehicle went off the right side of the road and struck a guardrail.

His vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.

• David Lee Napier, 28, 844 1/2 S. Walnut St., Apt. A, Sidney, was treated at the scene by Anna Rescue for injuries sustained in a one-vehicle crash Tuesday at 3:01 a.m.

Napier was southbound in the 10000 block of County Road 25A when he lost control of his vehicle on a slight curve which was covered with ice. The vehicle lost traction and went left of center and off the left side of the road.

The vehicle went into the ditch and hit the embankment. The vehicle rolled over multiple times.

His vehicle was disabled in the crash and was towed from the scene.

• No citations were issued following a crash at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7.

Austin Kenneth Fogt, 17, of Anna, was stopped on North Third Street in Anna, facing south at the intersection of Third and Main streets. He failed to yield and struck a vehicle driven by Allison Linda Witer, 19, 15221 State Route 119, Anna, who was traveling eastbound on West Main Street.

Fogt’s vehicle sustained moderate damage in the crash. Witer’s vehicle was disabled in the crash.

Fire, rescue

WEDNESDAY

-2:51 p.m.: medical. Anna Rescue responded to Auglaize County.

-1:17 a.m.: medical. Anna Rescue responded to the 400 block of East South Street in Dinsmore Township.

TUESDAY

-8:56 p.m.: fire. Anna Fire Department and Police responded to the 300 block of West South Street in Franklin Township on the report of a transformer on fire.

-8:37 p.m.: medical. Anna Rescue and Deputies responded to the 18000 block of Kentner Road in Dinsmore Township.
