THURSDAY

-5:21 a.m.: contempt. Michael Bunger, 31, Greenville, was arrested on a warrant.

-3:59 a.m.: found property. A bank card belonging to Christopher Davis, 22, 5918 State Route 29 east, was found at Mutual Federal Savings Bank on Michigan Street and turned into the police department.

WEDNESDAY

-4 p.m.: assault. Jacquia Hudgins, 29, 218 E. Bennett St., was arrested for assault.

-9:19 a.m.: driving under OVI suspension. Lyndsey Coverstone, 22, For Loramie, was issued a citation for driving under OVI suspension.

TUESDAY

-10:01 p.m.: theft. Jody Napier-Bunnell, 45, 1201 Hilltop Drive, Apt. B, was arrested for theft.

-8:55 p.m.: aggravated arson. Michelle Jackson, 38, 619 St. Marys Ave., reported someone tried to set her house on fire.

-8:24 p.m.: theft. Two females, a 15 year-old and a 12-year-old, were charged with theft after Walmart on Michigan Street reported the shoplifting.

-8:01 p.m.: burglary. Brenda Wellbaum, 59, 134 Pike St., reported someone had entered her residence.

-5:19 p.m.: theft. R&R Landscaping on St. Marys Ave. reported the theft of a wheelbarrow from the business.

-11:23 a.m.: criminal damaging. Sidney Village Apartments on Buckeye Avenue reported a broken back window at 989 Buckeye Ave.

Crashes

Crystal Hughes, 30, 1141 Morris Ave., was arrested for OVI and was cited with failure to control following a crash on Wednesday at 9:44 p.m.

Hughes was traveling eastbound in the 1200 block of Riverbend Boulevard and when she veered off to the right and struck the rear of a legally parked vehicle owned by Charlote Bodenmiller, 1229 Riverbend Blvd.

• Sandra McRoberts, 55, 1105 N. Main Ave., was cited for assured clear distance ahead following a two-vehicle collision on Wednesday 8:21 a.m.

McRoberts was traveling northbound on Wapakoneta Avenue approaching the intersection of West Hoewisher Road when she did not slow down in time and struck the rear of the vehicle in front of her driven by Jeffrey Sanchez, 54, of Lima.

• Joshua Abbott, 17, 16500 Sidney Plattsville Road was cited with assured clear distance ahead following a crash on Wednesday at 7;23 a.m.

Abbott was traveling westbound on Water Street when he failed to stop in time and rear-ended the vehicle in front of him driven by John Fultz, 74, 144313 Runor Drive.

• No one was cited following a two-vehicle crash on Tuesday at 8:10 a.m.

Edward Penn, 50, of Tampa, Florida, was

Penn was traveling northbound on South Vandemark Road in the left lane of travel. Cory Denning, 28, of Riverside, was traveling northbound on South Vandemark Road in the right lane of travel when Penn attempted to make a left turn into 55 S. Vandemark Road from the left lane and the collision occurred. Both drivers told police the other came into their lane and struck their vehicle. Police were unable to determine who was at fault.

• Alexander Hamm, 16, 800 E. Hoewisher Road, was cited with operation without control following a one-vehicle crash on Tuesday at 7:17 a.m.

Hamm was traveling southbound on Wells Drive near Winfield Court when he lost control, veered off the roadway to the right, stuck a small tree in the front yard of 2033 Wells Drive before coming to a final rest in the front yard of 2021 Wells Drive.

• Ann Gruber, 56, of Minster, was cited for assured clear distance ahead following a two-vehicle crash on Monday at 4:07 p.m.

Gruber was traveling westbound on Michigan Street approaching the light at Kuther Road when she didn’t stop in time and rear-ended the vehicle stopped at the red light in front of her that driven by Marc Dilworth, 47, of Versailles.

Fire, rescue

WEDNESDAY

-10:43 p.m.: fire. Crews responded to the report of a fire due to unattended cooking.

-10:25 p.m.: fire. Crews conducted a gas odor investigation.

-7:27 a.m. to 3:25 p.m.: medical. Crews responded to 12 calls. One was was a false alarm.

-7:27 a.m.: medical. Crews responded to the report of an automobile crash.

TUESDAY

-9:01 p.m.: assist. Firefighters responded to 619 St. Marys Ave. to assist the police department.

-1:40 p.m.: fire. Firefighters responded to a false fire alarm at Wilson Health.

-8:31 a.m. to 9:05 p.m.: medical. Crews responded to six calls.
