Local Ashland University Honors Society members

ASHLAND — The following students are members of the Honors Society at Ashland University.

Emily Kaiser of New Bremen, is a member of Ashland University’s Honor Society. Kaiser is majoring in creative writing. She is the daughter of James and Pamela Kaiser of New Bremen. Kaiser is a 2013 graduate of New Bremen Local School.

Sarah Koenig of New Bremen, is a member of Ashland University’s Honor Society. Koenig is majoring in social work. Koenig is a 2015 graduate of New Bremen Local School.

The Honors Society is a student-run organization that plans a variety of social, educational and service events for Honors Program students, thereby strengthening the learning community by building friendships outside the classroom.

Kaiser is also a resident assistant on the residence life staff. The resident assistants are responsible for upholding the mission and values of Ashland University, implementing the goals of the residence life program, and working to develop a community environment on their floor(s). Resident assistants are the foundation of the Residence Life Department and have the responsibility to act as a community builder, administrator, programmer, policy enforcer, and a positive role model for the residents of their building and the campus community.
