ASHLAND — Ashland University has released its dean’s list for the spring 2016 semester.

To be eligible for this honor, a student must be enrolled full time at Ashland University and achieve at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Local students named to the dean’s list were:

• Sarah Koenig of New Bremen, is majoring in dietetics. Koenig is a 2015 graduate of New Bremen Local School.

• Emily Kaiser of New Bremen, is majoring in creative writing and English. She is the daughter of James and Pamela Kaiser of New Bremen. Kaiser is a 2013 graduate of New Bremen Local School.

Joseph Brandt of Versailles, is majoring in business management, entrepreneurship, and finance. He is the son of Tim and Jennifer Brandt of Versailles. Brandt is a 2011 graduate of Versailles High School.

Ashland University, ranked in the top 200 colleges and universities in U.S. News and World Report’s National Universities category for 2016, is a mid-sized, private university located a short distance from Akron, Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio.
