Versailles to celebrate ‘A Night Under the Harvest Moon’ Homecoming

VERSAILLES — Versailles 2016 Homecoming activities will begin Friday, Oct. 7, with the Homecoming Parade. The parade will begin at 6:15 p.m. starting at the State Route 185 exit of the new school by Worch Memorial Library. The parade will then follow the old route down State Route 185 to South Center Street and left on Wood Street to the football field.

Crowning of the King and Queen will take place at the Versailles vs. Parkway Football Game on Friday, Oct. 7th. The coronation will take place at approximately 7 p.m.

The Versailles Homecoming Dance will be held on Saturday, Oct. 8, at the Versailles Cafetorium from 8-11:30 p.m. This year’s theme is “A Night Under the Harvest Moon.”

Freshman representatives: Grace Carman, daughter of Rob and Amy Carman; and Austin Toner, son of Jeremy and Cheyanne Toner.

Sophomore representatives: Madison Ahrens, daughter of Bob and Joyce Ahrens; and Ben Albers, son of Karl and Nancy Albers.

Junior representatives: Cali Groff, daughter of Chris and Denise Groff; and Kyle Wuebker, son of Alan and Sarah Wuebker.

Senior representatives: Camille Watren, daughter of Dan and Jackie Watren; and Isaac Ruhenkamp, son of Steve and Angie Ruhenkamp.

Queen candidates: Abigail White, daughter of Ron and Rachael White; Kami Ording, daughter of Tom and Kathy Ording; Emily Langenkamp, daughter of Steve and Lisa Langenkamp; Heather Albers, daughter of Bryan and Ronda Albers; and Janelle Hoelscher, daughter of Steve and Aimee Hoelscher.

King candidates: David Ault, son of Alan and Tammy Ault; Kyle Subler, son of Jeff and Renee Subler; Jonny Moorman, son of Ken and Jill Moorman; Aaron Mangen, son of Randy and Sandy Mangen; and Dean Heitkamp, son of Rick and Margie Heitkamp.
