Academia: Russia, Sidney and Botkins win round 2

SIDNEY — Russia, Sidney and Botkins high school academia teams placed first in the second match of the year in academia competition.

At Russia, the home school won the competition with 42 points. Fairlawn and Jackson Center tied for second with 19 points each.

Sidney, which was the host school, won the competition with 54 points. Lehman placed second with 36 points and Fort Loramie scored 32 points.

Botkins won its competition with 40 points. They were also the host school. Placing second was Houston with 36 points. Anna finished with 34 points.

There were four challenges: one by Anna, one by Houston and two by Fort Loramie. Points were awarded to Houston, 1 point, and Fort Loramie, two points.

Sidney leads the competition with 114 points. Russia is in second with 89 points, closely followed by Botkins with 86 points. Anna and Lehman each have 79 points. Fort Loramie has scored 75 points. Houston has 60 points; Fairlawn, 45 points; and Jackson Center, 42 points.
