HOUSTON — The cutoff birthdate for kindergarten students entering the Hardin-Houston Local Schools system will remain Aug. 1.

• Hired Tina Mertz and Craig Knouff as junior high sports events supervisors at a rate of $50 per event; Deb Bensman as an on-the-bus instructor; and John F. Drapp as a substitute bus drive.

• Accepted retirements by high school secretary Bertha Swob and educational aide Sandy Kemp.

• Approved agreements with the Auglaize County Educational Service Center of curriculum services and the Jefferson County Educational Service Center for virtual learning academy services.

• Set a release time of 1 p.m. for May 15, the last day of school for seniors, and for May 18, the last day of school for other students.

• Approved early graduation of Indika Lorton.

• Approved student trips to the FCCLA state conference April 27-28; to FFA camp June 19-13; and to the FFA state convention May 4-5.

• Went into executive session to prepare for bargaining sessions with employees.
