And that’s my final answer

Today watching the morning news I jotted down key words … shootings, salmonella, drones shooting, out-of-control fires, long-range missiles, gun control, Middle East allies, police abuse, racial disputes, out-of-balance weather conditions with flooding and drought. … And it went on and on! Having read and studied Matthew 24, I see the Word of God coming to pass.

You are probably thinking … “Oh no, not another end-times warning!” While that’s not exactly the main point of this article, It is a valid one! However my main point today is in total agreement with my brother in Christ, the Rev. Harold McKnight’s article last week, and also in agreement with the Word of God.

My questions are, “What can bring peace and healing? What can we do to end all of the mess we’ve made of the world?” These are big questions with big responsibilities! And there is only one answer! I say … only one final answer! Revival!

Now you are probably asking, “How can revival bring about peace and healing of this mess we’ve made?” I will reinforce last week’s article and God’s Word. This is my main point! By crying out to our Creator and Savior! “If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

Humble ourselves. Realize and admit that man’s ways of healing or answers to the problems don’t work. They are not God’s ways. Ineffective, of no affect. His ways are higher than ours. Isaiah 55:9

Pray and seek his face. This simply means go to him as a child goes to his father for help, even help to tie his shoes or help when he’s hurting etc. God wants to help us with the little things and even more the big things.

Turn from our wicked ways. Repent and live righteously in Love or be revived/restored to the way he created you to be before sin overtook you.

Then and only then (the final answer) will he forgive sin and heal the land.

I am not a Bible scholar but I don’t find this hard to understand at all. I believe it’s pretty plain and I wonder how many times must we read and hear it and ignore it before we finally realize the only way is to give it to God with earnest faith knowing that it is truth and he hears and is faithful. So maybe it is a warning but also asking that we take a good look at what we believe and what we can and will do about it. Humble ourselves, pray and seek his face and turn from our wicked ways. Sin would be forgiven and not repeated. Healing would begin and our land would become a paradise once again. God’s presence would be so strong and peace would be beyond understanding as his peace is. Revival begins within. Corporately our land would be revived! It’s the only answer.
