PIQUA — Kristan Hawkins, pro-life advocate and the president of Students for Life of America (SFLA) will be the featured speaker, Thursday, Sept. 22, at Elizabeth’s New Life Center’s 2016 Fall Partnership Banquet to be held at A Learning Place in Piqua, Ohio.

The annual event will highlight the ministries of Women’s Center-in Sydney that services Auglaize, Mercer and Shelby counties, operated by Elizabeth’s New Life Center. Elizabeth’s New Life Center specializes in providing positive solutions for unexpected pregnancies. The women’s centers support abortion-vulnerable women by offering them free pregnancy tests, ultrasound scans, consulting on pregnancy decisions, prenatal vitamins, and material assistance. Clients receive key health information and opportunities to develop parenting and other life skills while receiving emotional support through one-one-one mentoring.

Hawkins has helped to more than triple the number of campus pro-life groups throughout the country and has appeared on various television networks and broadcasting platforms discussing a wide range of topics including Planned Parenthood, Pro-Life Activism and Leadership. Advocating and fighting for the rights of the unborn by speaking through many well-known national news organizations and newspaper outlets on behalf of Students for Life, she has grown to be a prominent voice in the pro-life movement.

Hawkins resides in Minnesota with her husband, Jonathan, and four children, Gunner, Bear, Maverick and Gracie. Her work and passion for the unborn has been featured in numerous publications, most recently in National Review Online, the Washington Times and Citizen Magazine.
