A journey in time

To the editor:

Before you read this read this letter, I would like to ask that you finish your paper first, then come back to this letter.

For the past couple of weekends I have been watching some of those old shows that we all remember so well: Gunsmoke, Daniel Boone, etc.

As I watched those programs, I began to wonder what it would be like to spend some time in those eras. Imagine: no TV, cellphone, cars — those conveniences we grew up with.

Now, on the other hand, how exciting it would be to experience those events we all learned about in our history books, first hand. Like experiencing the life as a pioneer, living in a log cabin, hunting, fishing and trapping for one’s meal; no grocery store.

Maybe you’d like to relive some of your childhood over again, but in the time when your parents were growing up; how weird. Visiting with Besty Ross while she created our first flag, or when the fires Model-T was made. The list is endless; so much history that one could visit.

How awesome it would be for one to have that ability to travel in time to any place, anywhere. Now, would you take such a trip, a journey in time, but with not the conveniences that we have today?

Remember that first car you owned? How awesome. That first love, date, and that first kiss; all those special events worthy of experiencing just one more time.

Because of the limited amount of space and words, I now let you, the reader, finish this letter by taking your own journey in time. I now leave you with your thoughts and wishing you many pleasant journeys and memories of a past history.
