JACKSON CENTER — Russia and Fort Loramie waged an intense battle for the championship of the annual Jackson Center Freshman Boys Basketball Tournament Monday night.

When it was over, Russia had emerged with a 45-42 victory in overtime to claim the championship.

The Raiders defeated Botkins in the first round and Houston in the semifinals.

Fort Loramie beat Jackson Center in the first round and Anna in the semifinals.

Houston and Anna played in the third-place game Monday night, and Anna won by a 28-23 final.
