The County junior high boys basketball tournament finals were held at Houston on Saturday, and the championships went to the Fairlawn 7th grade and the Anna 8th grade.

Fairlawn defeated Fort Loramie 48-40 in the 7th grade championship game.

The Junior Jets, seeded third, won over top-seeded Botkins 47-41 in the semifinals to get to the final game.

Fort Loramie, the No. 2 seed, beat Anna 38-25 in the opening round and Jackson Center 25-16 in the semifinals.

In the championship game, Fairlawn was led by Ashton Piper with 21 points. Fort Loramie got 20 points from Grant Albers.

• In the 8th grade championship, Anna edged Fort Loramie 30-27.

Anna was led by Riley Huelskamp with nine points. Fort Loramie was led by Nick Brandewie with 10 points.

Anna was the No. 1 seed and Fort Loramie the No. 2 seed.
