The Edison Community College volleyball team picked up two wins over the weekend.

Edison defeated UC Clermont 25-19, 25-14, 21-25, 25-19.

For the Lady Chargers, Kasey Helmstetter had 14 kills and three block assists, Erin Metz of Jackson Center had 13 kills and 11 digs, Fairlawn grad Allie Watkins had 17 digs and 13 assists and Denise Schwieterman had 11 kills.

Edison followed that up with a 25-16, 25-15, 26-24 win over Lorain. Edison was down 24-19 in the third set for Watkins served seven straight points to finish off the match.

Schwieterman had nine kills, Faith Hensley had 12 digs and 17 assists and Watkins had 10 assists, two aces, and eight digs.

The Lady Chargers play at home Friday against WSU-Lake Campus.
