Coach of the Yearhonors to Anna’s Noll

The Miami Valley Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association recently anounced its All-Miami Valley teams and three county players were named to district teams.

In Division 1, Sidney’s Emily Weisenmayer, a senior, was one of just 12 players selected from all across the Miami Valley. She led Sidney to 12 wins this season and was the second-best goal scorer in the Greater Western Ohio Conference with 23. She also had 12 assists.

In addition, Lehman senior midfielder Hanah Fogt was named to the Division 3 girls district team, and Botkins senior mid Kaleb Hanby was named to the D-3 boys district team. He finished the season with 21 goals and 14 assists.

Meanwhile, Coach of the Year honors for Division 3 girls went to Anna’s Mike Noll. He led the Lady Rockets to 14 wins this season.

Also, Lehman’s Jimmy Marsh was named the Assistant Coach of the Year.

Girls D-1 North

The MVSSCA also announced its all-division teams.

In D-1 North, Sidney put five players on the team. Both Emily and Elaine Wiesenmayer, a sophomore forward, were named to the first team, sophomore defender Macie Ivey and senior midfielder Jenna Foster were named to the second team, and senior mid Erin Ivey was named to the third team.

Elaine Wiesenmayer finished just one goal behind her sister with 22 and added 13 assists.

Girls D-3 North

In D-3 North girls, Lehman put six players on the team.

Fogt and teammate Molly Safreed, a junior forward, were named to the first team, senior defender Moriah Pauley and junior goalie Camille Brown were second-team selections, and senior defender Lexi Caulfield and junior defender Amanda Titterington were both third-team picks.

From Anna, Abby Gaydosh, a junior midfielder, was named to the first team, Emily Albers, a junior mid, was named to the second team, and freshman forward Taylor Noll, sophomore defender Claire Bensman, junior mid Ashley Heitkamp and freshman defender Michaela Ambos were all named to the third team.

Botkins had two players named to the North team, including junior midfielder Paige Lane and sophomore goalie Grace Homan

Noll was also named the North Coach of the Year, and March the North Assistant Coach of the Year.

Boys D-3 East

In boys D-3, Lehman had three players named to the East team in senior defender John Henry Frantz, junior midfielder Jake Emrick and senior mid Jacob Schmiesing. Frantz was named to the first team, Emrick to the second and Schmiesing to the third.

Lehman’s Kristin Black was named the Assistant Coach of the Year.

Boys D-3 West

And named to the D-3 West team were four players from Botkins, including Hanby to the first team, senior defender Trent Egbert to the second team and senior mid Micah Smock and senior forward Tanner Russell to the third team
