TROY — The Sidney High boys bowling team remained unbeaten in dual matches this season with a 104-pin victory over Tipp City in action in Troy Wednesday.

Sidney had 2298 to Tipp City’s 2194.

Sidney is now 5-0 in the Greater Western Ohio Conference American North and 8-0 overall heading into the Baker Bash on Monday at Beaver-Vu Lanes in Dayton.

“This was the first North Division opponent we’ve faced this season, and Tipp City has a lot of good, young talent,” said Sidney coach Trent Knoop. “So this was a good victory on the road. We are doing enough to get the job done this season, and do a good job working as a team.”

The Jackets had 1904 in regular games and 394 in two baker games for their total.

Josh Abbot led the way with a 415 series on games of 213 and 202. Lucas Finke was next with a 392 on a 187 and a 205.

Austin Simon had the high game of the day with a 225. That, coupled with a 161, gave him a 386 series.

Sean Martin added a 191 and a 190 for a 381 and Matt Elliott rolled one game and finished with a 172.

• The Sidney girls were also victorious to go to 4-1 in the American North and 4-4 overall heading into the Baker Bash at Beaver-Vu Monday.

Jenna Beatty led the way with a 400 on games of 198 and 202.

Heather Gold rolled a 199 and a 171 for a 370 series, Cameron Fogle had a 311 on games of 148 and 163, and Kathryn Saunders added a 165 game.

“This was the fourth win in a row for the girls,” said Knoop. “They are clicking as a team right now.”
