HOUSTON —In the championship games of the County Junior High Boys Basketball Tournament, both No. 2 seeds defeated the No. 1 seeds to claim the titles.

Botkins and Fort Loramie came away with the championships in finals action Saturday morning at Houston.

In the seventh grade, No. 2-seeded Botkins upset top-seeded Anna 38-27 to claim the championship.

Botkins was led by Jacob Pleiman with 13 points. McKane Finkenbine had 12 for the Rockets.

• In the eighth grade championship, top-seeded Fairlawn couldn’t keep up with second-seeded Fort Loramie in a game that ended up 31-10.

Colin Moore led the winners with 11 points.
