The Edison State women’s basketball team made it 20 wins on the season with a 79-68 victory over Columbus State in action on Saturday.

It’s the first 20-win season for Edison in seven years and the Lady Chargers are now 20-9 overall.

Edison had five players in double figures, led by Sydney Miller with 22.

Riley Culver had a double-double of 10 points and 15 rebounds, with seven of those coming at the offensive end.

Jessica Crowell added 14 points, Carly Buzzard 12 and Fort Loramie’s Holly Frey 10. Culver and Miller both had five assists and Buzzard four.

Edison is back in action Saturday, hosting Sinclair at 1 p.m.

• The Edison men’s basketball team lost 83-77 at home Saturday to fall to 16-13 overall.

Dae’Shawn Jackson led Edison with 22 points and four assists, and both Romello Yaqub and Hadith Tiggs added 20 apiece.
