The outstanding senior season in wrestling by Lehman 195-pounder Wyatt Long came to an end in the Division 3 State Wrestling Tournament in Columbus on Friday.

Long started off the tournament against the projected state champion in his weight class, and lost a tough 6-1 decision, but he came back in the consolations to dominate Nathan Price of Galion Northmor in a 17-2 technical fall.

That put him in the match to place against John Kelbly of Smithville. But Kelbly controlled the match and won 9-1.

Long finished the season with a 43-10 record.

Also in D-3, Versailles had three wrestlers in action.
