Riverside beats Lehmanin conference game, 12-3

DEGRAFF — The talented Riverside softball team handed Lehman a 12-3 setback in Northwest Central Conference action on Tuesday at Riverside.

The win pushed the Pirates to 17-5 on the season heading into a game Thursday at Lehman. The Lady Cavs fall to 6-7.

Lehman scored twice in the top of the first, but Riverside came back with seven in the bottom of the inning to take the lead for good.

Riverside had 11 hits on the day, led by Aubrie Stillings with three in four trips. She also drove in three runs.

Shelby Giles was 2-for-4 with three RBIs, and Marissa Davis was 2-for-4 and scored twice.

Helena Faulder, Kristin Davidson and Paige Manahan also scored two runs, and Davidson had Riverside’s only extra base hit, a double.

Giles was the winning pitcher, striking out nine and allowing seven hits.
