ANNA — Anna hosted fellow County teams Russia and Houston in a triangular track meet Tuesday.

The Anna boys and girls both came out on top in the competition.

The Anna boys got two firsts from Logan Konst, in the 100 and 200 dashes. Those were two of the 11 wins Anna had in the meet.

Houston’s Ethan Knouff also won two events, the 800 and 1600 runs.

The Anna girls were led by Hannah Shoemaker. She won the 100 dash, the 100 hurdles and the 300 hurdles.

Anna also won three of the four relays.

Russia got two wins from Claire Meyer, who was first in both the 1600 and 3200 runs.

Riverside Invitational

DEGRAFF — The Riverside Invitational was held Tuesday, and Jackson Center and Christian Academy were among the participants.

Waynesfield had a Blue and a Gold team competing in the boys meet, and the Blue team was first. Riverside was third, Jackson fourth and Christian Academy fifth.

Riverside got a pair of wins from Ollie Jacobs, who won the 200 and 400 dashes. Teammate Caleb Stevens won the 100 dash.

Waynesfield was also first in the girls meet with 136, with Jackson Center not far behind with 92.

The Lady Tigers won three of the four relays and also got a win from Kennadie Reese in the 100, Deanna Lowry in the 400 and C. Jones in the 300 hurdles.

Versailles tri

VERSAILLES — Versailles hosted New Bremen and St. Marys in a tri-meet Tuesday.

The Versailles boys were first by 50 points, scoring 102.

Josh Steinbrunner led the Tigers, winning the 110 and 300 hurdles, and adding a first in the high jump.

Teammate Joe Spitzer won the 800 and 1600 runs

The Versailles girls were first with 78, to 67 for Bremen.

New Bremen’s Macy Puthoff won two events, the 100 dash and the long jump.

Meet at Graham

ST. PARIS — The Fairlawn boys and girls competed in a meet at Graham that included five boys teams and four girls teams.

The boys placed second with 60 behind the 135 scored by Miami East. Graham had 57.5, West Liberty-Salem 47 and Emmanuel Christian 45.5.

Fairlawn was led by Ben Brautgam and Nathan Lessing.

Brautigam won the shot put with a distance of 44 feet, 9 inches, and also won the discus with a toss of 123-8.

Lessing won the 100 dash in 11.54 and the 200 dash in 24.05.

Teammate Stephen Blanford added a second place in the 1600 in 5:03.22, Andrew Bockrath was second in the discus at 122-10, Jacob Couchot added a third-place in the 300 hurdles in 47.87, and Luke Hickman was third in the shot at 38-4.5.

The Lady Jets were fourth with 23 points. Miami East was first with 167, Emmanuel Christian second with 65 and Graham third with 58.

Madison Huelskamp turned in an outstanding performance for the Lady Jets. She was first in the long jump with a distance of 15-1.5, second in the 100 in 13.77, and second in the 200 in 29.47.

New Bremen Inv.

NEW BREMEN — The annual New Bremen Cardinal Track and Field Invitational fell victim to the weather shortly after it started last Friday night, but even though only seven events were scored in all, Shelby County League athletes set new meet records in two of them.

Russia’s Emily Bohman cleared 11-feet, 2-inches to win the girls pole vault, and that height broke the previous record of 11 feet set back in 2014.

And in the boys shot put, Josh Miller of Botkins registered a distance of 56-feet, 8-inches to win the event and set a new meet record. He broke the 15-year-old previous mark of 55 feet even set all the way back in 2002.

In another field event final, Macy Puthoff of New Bremen won the long jump at 15-10.5.

Russia’s girls won the 3200 relay in 10:02.75, with the team of Shae Goubeaux, Maddie Moorman, Claire Meyer and Grace York.

And the Anna boys won the 3200 relay in 8:29.63 with the foursome of Patrick Toller, Matthew Burden, Lucas Huber and Joel Gaier.

Tipp City JV

TIPP CITY — Sidney competed in the Tipp City Junior Varsity Invitational on Tuesday, the boys placing fifth out of seven teams and the girls seventh out of seven.

The boys had 45.5 points, with their top finishes being three third places. Chandler Davis was third in the 100 in 12.41, and the 400 and 1600 relay teams were both third, in 51.51 and 4:08.28.

The 400 foursome was David, Plotner, Murphy and Biddle, and the 1600 foursome was Biddle, Davis, Lee and Thornsberry.
