Guingrich wins Meyer Award

NEWPORT — The Spring Trapshooting League at the Newport Sportsmen Club recently came to an end and the winners honored.

The Premier Tool team of Rick Ewing, Aaron Guittar, Kirk Robbins, Gary Stockslager and Mel Maggert took first place in the 16-yard division with a 928, four points better than Kimball Midwest’s 924.

And in the handicap division, Premier Tool Inc. had an 871 with the team of Ewing, Guittar, Robbins, Joe Wilson and Maggert. Kimball Midwest was against second with the same team, with a score of 849.

The Dale Meyer Award for high shooter in the league went to Will Guingrich with a score of 341 out of 350 while shooting for the Original Was Squad. That was one better than Britt Havenar of the Havenar Engineering and Surveying No. 1 team.
