DNC 2016: Delegates from Ohio want to see more from Hillary Clinton

PHILADELPHIA — For delegates from Ohio, there are a lot of issues they want to see become part of the Democratic platform that Hillary Clinton will campaign on as she battles Republican Donald Trump for the presidency.

At the top of that list are issues like bringing jobs back to the U.S. from overseas, raising the minimum wage to $15 per hour, free college tuition and growing the middle class.

Delegates from Ohio supporting Sen. Bernie Sanders said they need to see some serious movement by Clinton on these issues before they can vote for her in November. They heard Sanders strongly endorse Clinton again on Monday night, but they want to see sincerity from Clinton on these issues to convince them that she is not just offering “lip service” to gain their support.
